Summer Camp Rules and Behavior Policy
We want to ensure that summer camp at Churchill Road is safe and fun for everyone participating. It is expected that all participants follow regular classroom and school rules while attending camp. Because we want all our camp participants to have a positive experience, our teachers will strive to work out any problems with a child and parent before withdrawing any child from the program. When a child does not follow the expected behavior guidelines, teachers will make attempts to redirect the child for more appropriate behavior. If a child continues to have difficulties, he or she will be removed from the class. Teachers will inform the parents about the situation and the child will need to be picked up by a parent or guardian immediately. If a child is removed from a class a second time, that child will be withdrawn from the remainder of the summer camp session. No partial refunds will be given in these situations. The following behaviors will not be tolerated and will result in a first and final warning: any inappropriate physical contact, throwing objects, consistent disruption in class, damaging school or personal property, leaving an area without permission from the instructor, disrespect towards other students or instructors, using inappropriate language, incidents of bullying including name calling, verbal or non-verbal threats or discriminatory behavior. After the first warning, any future behavioral issues will result in immediate removal from camp for the rest of the summer sessions and no partial refunds will be offered.

2023 Half-Day Camps
Creation Station Art Camp
Open to rising 4th to 6th grade students. Creation Station Art Camp inspires kids to reach beyond and create art that is unique to them. By doing so, kids feel empowered to be creative and expressive. Each day we will be creating a wide variety of engaging art. Your child will enjoy activities filled with fun and high-quality art projects that explore different techniques/artists and the use of varied materials. Please dress for a mess and/or bring your own art smock because it is hard to prevent all messes as the kids excitedly dive into the materials. Family and friends are invited to join us on the last day for a Gallery Exhibition of all their work. For questions, contact Mrs. Clark at aclark@fcps.edu. Camp is open from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m.
